California

After we spent a couple days in Park City we left for California! We flew into Oakland and Ste's parents picked us up.  We spent the day around San Francisco and places around that area.  We stopped at a little town named Pescadero (I think) that had some cute little shops.  One was a place with woodworking that was pretty darn cool to see.  When we went to San Francisco, his family wanted me to drive down Lombard street.  I refused because I had heard it was like super steep, I had never driven their van before, and I hadn't really seen the street-just other streets there that freaked me out.  I think I could have gone down just fine, it was the going up part that freaked me out. Completely straight up, a bunch of cars trying to get up, a Mustang that was stuck in the middle of the road and had a leak that cars' tires were spinning on... so much that I just hated and would have been a wreck if I drove on it haha  Anyway, it was a lot of fun.  We stopped and got some sourdough bread and sourdough bread croutons.  Yum! I love croutons.

On our way back to their house in Sacramento, we stopped at a hamburger place that his dad saw and heard that it was on Diners, Drive-ins and Dives.  So we stopped to see what the hype was about.  It was definitely delicious!

Stewart and I played parents for Monica's kids one day and had a blast.  We got some cuddle time with Jackson, took kids to school, got lunches ready.. It was a lot of fun.  Her kids are super easy to take of.  They all got ready on their own in the morning and wanted fruit for breakfast.  I definitely hope my kids are as easy as her kids were that day...

Throughout the week we got to spend more time with Monica's family, paint part of his parent's house, and eat at his favorite restaurant- Dos Coyotes.  So good!

Later in the week we made our way down to Los Angeles and San Diego.  Our pictures with the temple didn't quite work out, but the most important and beautiful part is the temple so that's more than okay.

We spent a day at Disneyland! Ste got to go on some fun rides with his dad, we checked out the kid and sissy rides for me, had some Dole Whip, and paddled a canoe around an island.  It was a lot of fun!

We also spent a day at the beach where Ste and I got completely burned.  He is still peeling and I kinda have a scar from where I was burned.  I am just happy that my face evened out and I didn't have a bright red forehead forever! It was definitely nice to be at the beach, even though I was too scared to go too deep.  Ste and his dad worn themselves out on boogie boards and we got to see some surfers do some cool things.

It was a nice and fun trip for sure!

It has been a very busy two weeks!

After a year and three months, we finally cracked open the top tier of our wedding cake.  It had lasted a year in Sherry's freezer and a couple months in Grandma's freezer.. haha

Ste and I both finished our internships! The second to last day of mine we went to this cool place called Wild Wonders with the girls from the hospital. It was so fun.  We got to interact with a lot of different animals like a tortoise, parrots, snakes, lizards, skunk, raccoon, bobcat/linx mix, coyote, foxes, chinchilla, ferrets... It was awesome!

Last Sunday, Lindsea and her family came down to help prepare for Rissa's reception. It was so good to see those little kids before they head off to Illinois.

Despite what these pictures show, Hudson LOVED the bowling alley haha Crazy little kid

Stewart finished his ceramics class and brought home a ton of fun things!! He made bowls, cups, bottles, a q-tip holder, and a spoon holder for the stove.

Can you guess what this is from?

We had a fun week with my family in town.  My family threw me a baby shower... little did Lindsea know it was for her too since Kassidy came early and screwed everything up for a shower haha  It was a lot of fun, though!! While Lindsea was here she took some maternity pictures for me which I will post later in its own post :)

I graduated last Friday! Woo! Weird to be done but so happy! These five people were definitely five of the most supportive people throughout the last few years (not everyone who was super supportive, though).  I am so grateful for my family and their willingness to sit through graduation, and Stewart to sit through both days of graduation.  I am so happy he convinced me that I should walk.  I enjoyed seeing a lot of girls from my major that I haven't see all summer.

Saturday was Rissa's reception.  We didn't get much time to talk to people since we were put in charge of keeping the food full and getting the music ready for all the special dances and events. It was still fun, though!

Ste's sister, Jenner, and her family came to visit and we got to see them for a couple days.  We went to BYU campus, out to eat, Discovery Gateway, Bean Museum, and a lot more. It was good to finally meet the rest of her kids!

Stewart and I went up to Park City for a couple nights.  It was so much fun! After a very busy last week or so we were ready for some time to play just us two, especially since we know this time is limited.  We did a really cool hike where we got to ride the ski lift back down for free. We got stuck in the clouds which was pretty cool.  We also brought some quality snacks for the top of the hike.

It was such a nice couple days! Now we are taking a couple days then heading to California to see his parents and go to San Diego!
